ROSALIE MANOR OFFERS FREE LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM ON SATURDAYS


Milwaukee, Wis., Oct. 19, 2006 – Rosalie Manor Community and Family Services will offer a FREE life skills program for Milwaukee County youngsters ages 12-18 every Saturday morning beginning Oct. 28 and running through May, 2007.

The Saturday sessions, from 9 to noon, are part of Rosalie Manor’s “Families United to Prevent Teen Pregnancy” program. The program promotes abstinence until marriage to youth and their families. Among the topics that will be covered are:

  • Decision making


  • Goal setting


  • Self esteem and social skills


  • Understanding values


  • Positive relationships


  • Adolescent development


  • Sexually transmitted diseases

In addition, one Saturday session per month will engage the youth in a community service project. The programs will be held at Rosalie Manor, 4803 W. Burleigh St., Milwaukee. Registration is required. Parents must register their children by calling Corey Foster, educational specialist, at 414-449-2868, ext. 203.
